Be Encouraged!

I’m sitting here on Monday evening, reading a recent post on the accountability page, and thinking “I wish we could all touch base so that I know you are still pressing in!”

So, I fully intend to have an occasional reunion, but for now just know that you have done well and regardless of the difficulties God will give you prayer. He will give you the Secret Place if you do not allow yourself to become pulled back to the old way or to get discouraged. Also know that I am thinking of you and praying for you!

i would really love to see you guys talking to each other and responding to each other’s posts. You can start by responding to this one: let me know you are there and still going hard after the Secret Place!

Yes, I agree that we should probably meet each other. It might make it easier to comment on another’s posts.
Pastor as far as pressing in….because you made me aware of the Secret Place, I can honestly say that my relationship with the Lord has become so much more. It has lead me to intimacy with the Lord so that I look forward every morning to meeting Him there. I don’t miss…because I don’t want to. He is working in me and I don’t want to miss a thing.
For example, I have been praying…Lord help me to love in my relationships the way you want me to. He said…first love me. He was showing me yes, in our prayer time together you love me I know…but what about in other ways. How you acted during a disagreement or making situations about you instead of honoring me. He made me aware. I told Him I will put Him first in my life but I wasn’t doing that all the time. I wasn’t loving Him the way He wanted me to.
Because of the Secret Place I have learned I want more of God. I want Him all day long!
Right now this is what I am practicing in my life. I don’t need to always be on the mountain but I do want to feel him near me always.
Pastor am i doing this right?

    1. Ha! You’re doing it right, Joan! I’m proud of your growth and blessed by your reports. We get to where the day is simply not right without connecting with Him. There can still be difficult days, but it’s the long haul that matters. But you are right: what happens in the Secret Place must begin to overflow into the rest of our lives and relationships. Keep asking the Lord to design your times with Him.

I’m thinking through a reunion of sorts for early December.

  2. I am here Pastor Scott. I would love to be able to put a picture so that I know who’s who. I don’t remember all the names…just the faces.

And I am in agreement that we continue to be together in this journey…

    Matthew 18:19
“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
